China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Sichuan
Sub-council (hereinafter referred to as the 'Sichuan Sub-council'),
founded in Sept 1979, was since June 1988 called China Chamber of
International Commerce (CCOIC) Sichuan Chamber of Commerce (later
named'Sichuan Chamber of International Commerce'). As a nongovernmental
juridical association specializing in foreign economy and trade,
it governs 18 city/prefecture level and 3 county level sub-councils,
with a total of 3,000-odd member companies. It has cultivated a
long-term cooperative partnership with more than 200 foreign governmental
departments and international economic & trade organizations
and chambers & councils cross the world. Accordingly, exhibition,
economic & trade fair, specialized seminar, and business tour
are jointly held to give a strong push to Sichuan¡¯s foreign trade
and economic cooperation, introduction of foreign investment, foreign
economic and technical exchange and cooperation, additionally, the
Sichuan Sub-council offers consulting service and mediation on legal
affairs in relation with the cooperation. |

Membership Club |

One of main functions of international Membership Club is to attract
foreign (overseas) enterprises and institutions to become international
members of the Sichuan Sub-council and Sichuan Chamber of international
Commerce and serve them with a state-of-the-art service. Main functions
of the club are as follows:

Providing consulting service on Sichuan¡¯s policy and
rules and regulations to international members; |

Facilitating members to build up contacts with the governmental
management departments and industry associations in an effort to
acquire information and support; |

Facilitating members to take part in local significant economic
and trade fairs and exhibitions; |

|
Facilitating members to seek local partners; |
|
|
Providing a convenient and professional service channel of translation,
law concerning foreign affairs, accounting, and HR to foreign companies
who desire to establish presence in Sichuan; |
|
|
Having a timely understanding of FDI in Sichuan, collecting and
compiling comments and suggestions of foreign companies, and submitting
to the Sichuan government for its reference in decision-making. |
